About Freddy "Rico" Cuba



Latin artist "Freddy Cuba" is a professional Cuban percussionist and producer, who also sings and plays piano. He was influenced by and grew up listening to the music of Tito Rodriguez, Chano Pozo, Tito Puente, Celia Cruz, and Roberto Faz. Latin music has played a big part in Freddy's life. He has worked with world renown artists such as bassist Yorgis Goriecelaya "Elegance by Night Project" Alaska tour, with Peruvian pianist, Kiki Sanchez, Tomasito Cruz "I am Cuba", Phoenix Rivera, Victor Miranda bassist for Al di Meola, as featured in "The Mambo Kings" Robertito Melendez, Vince Cherico and many others. Freddy has shared the stage with famous Dove Award winners such as, Jeremy Camp, The News Boys, and Skillet. Freddy has been featured in the Today Show, Alaska Magazine, and the Fairbanks Summer Arts Festival as a Cuban Latino artist. He is also an endorsed artist for Soultone Cymbals.
Freddy has teamed up with pianist Kiki Sanchez touring and teaching Latin music while promoting diversity through music as signed artists with Blanco Diversity ENT. Freddy's, soon to be released albums, "Groove with Me" and "Vaya AK" will feature Afro Cuban rhythms, Rumba, and Guaguanco; high energy and fun albums. He continues to work as a tour artist for Blanco Diversity ENT sharing his love for music with the world.
Along with his love and passion for music, Freddy "Rico" is an accomplished chef as featured on Food Network's "Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives" with Guy Fieri. He has won awards from the National Elite Magazine, Certificate of Excellent (TripAdvisor), and Nightclub & Bar Top Rated.
